The Banshu textile producing area in Nishiwaki city is blessed with soft water which is eminently suitable for dyeing.

The Kako and Sugihara rivers, which flow through the area, have a hardness rating of only 3 to 4 degrees.

Our partner company, Ozawa Dyeing co., ltd., uses its unique treatment method to produce ultra-soft water for superior dyeing and an extremely soft finished product.

Combining the traditional Banshu method of hank dyeing with the latest dye technology allows us to be gentle on the cotton while achieving superior colour qualities.

As our fabric is 100% cotton, it is soft to wear but has the high quality feel and lustre of silk.
